ENVIROBASE®
The world's most advanced waterborne basecoat system
All waterborne basecoat systems are definitely not created equal. Thanks to its unique, next-generation PPG developed technology, the Envirobase® High Performance paint system delivers ground-breaking waterborne performance characteristics. This industry leading formulation is able to combine low VOC 'green' credentials with the speed, productivity and user-friendliness a modern collision repair centre needs to enhance profitability.
Envirobase® High Performance has set an all new benchmark for waterborne paint systems. Standout features include cutting edge pigments for outstanding colour accuracy, first-class opacity for excellent coverage and lower material usage, easy blending and aluminium control and very little flash-off before clearcoating resulting in exceptionally fast cycle times. A suite of fully compatible products also contributes to the unbeatable level of flexibility, productivity, ease of use and quality of finish – a versatile range of primers provide an ideal base for Envirobase® High Performance topcoats, while a selection of premium clearcoats literally adds the finishing touch.
Another unique feature of the Envirobase® High Performance paint system is that it's a 'turn-key' system. PPG's innovative 'Convert with Confidence' program takes collision centres through an easy, step-by-step process which includes in-depth training for technicians to ensure there is minimal interruption to production while offering the ability to quickly enjoy maximum benefits. Unlike some waterborne systems, there is minimal need for extra investment – as long as there is sufficient compressed air volume and a reasonable quality downdraft spray booth, generally all that is required are some inexpensive air-blower units and waterborne compatible spray guns.
